FULL LEGAL DOCUMENTS
Autos legal center
The Autos legal center presents the current vehicle-specific documents, dealer obligations, plate and stock-number boundaries, lane-specific pricing, financing limits, privacy and security terms, and the current Autos legal registry.
OpenOffer Autos is designed as a digital direct vehicle-offer platform. These documents describe the current Autos operating boundaries; they do not invent a regulatory classification or replace jurisdiction-specific licensed legal advice.

1. Digital platform and direct vehicle-offer rails
OpenOffer Autos is a digital technology platform operated by OpenOffer LLC. It supplies software rails through which a buyer can identify a vehicle by plate or dealer stock number, submit a direct offer, communicate privately, and—if the actual participants choose—progress through a gated opportunity/contact-release workflow.
The platform's role is to provide the vehicle-offer workflow, identity and vehicle-authority gates, private communication, platform payment controls, audit evidence, and contact-release controls. The buyer and the actual vehicle owner or dealer decide whether to transact and complete any resulting vehicle sale directly.
2. What OpenOffer does not do in the current Autos operating model
OpenOffer does not take title to vehicles, own dealer inventory as principal, buy vehicles for resale, become the buyer or seller of record, set a participant's vehicle price, sign title-transfer documents for a participant, receive the vehicle purchase price, hold vehicle-sale proceeds in escrow, finance the vehicle purchase, insure the vehicle, appraise the vehicle, transport the vehicle, or warrant the vehicle's condition.
OpenOffer does not accept, reject, withdraw, or counter an offer on behalf of a buyer, owner, or dealer. Administrative and Founder controls are safety, moderation, audit, and release-oversight controls; they do not authorize OpenOffer to negotiate as a participant.
3. Vehicle identifiers and motor-vehicle-record privacy
A plate or stock number is used as a vehicle reference inside the platform. Entering a plate is not consent or legal authority to retrieve, disclose, sell, or misuse protected personal information from a state motor-vehicle record.
OpenOffer does not promise that a plate identifies or will reach the registered owner. Any future vehicle-data source used to connect a vehicle reference to a person or business must be lawfully sourced, used for a legally permitted purpose, and subject to applicable privacy, access, security, and audit controls.
4. Vehicle-transaction responsibility stays with the participants
OpenOffer's offer and acceptance records are workflow records. They do not replace the final bill of sale or purchase agreement, title assignment, odometer statement, lien release, dealer Buyers Guide or state equivalent, warranty disclosure, financing document, tax form, registration document, insurance requirement, inspection, delivery arrangement, or any other document or act required for the actual vehicle transaction.
OpenOffer makes no representation that a particular in-platform exchange creates or does not create a binding vehicle-sale contract under every jurisdiction. Participants are responsible for definitive transaction documents, required disclosures, required professional advice, and compliance with applicable law.
5. No guarantee of the vehicle or the deal
Identity, vehicle authority, moderation, payment, and contact-release controls do not guarantee honesty, title, lien status, registration, mileage, recalls, condition, roadworthiness, dealer licensing, inventory availability, price fairness, financing, payment for the vehicle, delivery, transfer completion, or the absence of fraud.
Participants should independently inspect the vehicle and documents, verify title and liens, review vehicle history and recalls where appropriate, obtain professional advice when needed, and complete all required transfer documentation directly with the proper parties.
6. Jurisdiction and legal classification
These statements describe the current Autos product design and operating boundaries; they are not a representation that every state, regulator, court, or other authority will classify the service identically. Motor-vehicle dealer, broker, advertising, consumer-protection, privacy, payment, communications, and vehicle-financing-connection laws can vary by jurisdiction.
OpenOffer Autos is live in Production, while protected actions and jurisdiction-specific availability remain fail-closed unless the required legal, licensing, provider, and compliance controls are established. OpenOffer may restrict, suspend, or withhold features or jurisdictions when those requirements are not satisfied.
What the current Autos legal stack covers
Digital platform boundary
OpenOffer supplies direct vehicle-offer software and protected connection rails; the actual buyer, owner, or authorized dealer makes the vehicle decision and completes any resulting sale.
Participant-authored decisions
Offers, counters, acceptances, declines, withdrawals, negotiation messages, and release choices remain participant-controlled. Platform safeguards may protect a workflow but OpenOffer does not negotiate as a participant.
Identity and authority are separate
Verify Once answers identity. Vehicle owner/controller authority, dealership authority, staff role, and stock-number inventory authority remain separate protected checks.
Lane-specific OpenOffer platform fee
The private-owner PLATE lane uses the current $59 buyer platform fee. The dealer STOCK_NUMBER lane is $0 to the buyer and uses the current $99 authorized-dealer platform fee. Neither fee is payment for the vehicle.
Mutual contact release
Payment alone never buys another participant's contact information. The exact eligible participants must separately authorize release for the exact protected connection, and required safety checks must complete before release.
Dealer responsibility stays with the dealer
Dealer licensing, inventory authority, advertising, required vehicle disclosures, title and lien work, warranties, taxes, registration, financing compliance, and other regulated seller duties stay with the actual dealer.
Financing remains a connection boundary
Financing-interest signals do not make OpenOffer a lender. Live lender connections and lender data sharing remain disabled; any future connection requires explicit customer authorization and lender-owned underwriting.
Privacy, security, and fail-closed operation
The Autos stack addresses protected motor-vehicle-record information, identity-provider boundaries, release-sensitive data, security controls, communications limits, auditability, jurisdiction limits, and the ability to hold or disable a workflow when required truth is missing.
Current Production operating posture
The authoritative legal documents above remain tied to the current Autos legal registry and acceptance gates. OpenOffer Autos is live in Production, while protected actions continue to fail closed when required identity, vehicle or dealer authority, legal acceptance, payment, contact-sharing approval, or safety truth is missing. SMS/text alerts and live lender connections remain unavailable unless their separate requirements and controls are satisfied.
